I started running long distances on weekends aiming for 10 km and up. The first few runs were pure torture my legs felt like lead and my lungs were gasping for air. But after a few weeks something changed. I could zone out hit my pace and actually enjoy the rhythm of running. Endurance isnβt just about fitness itβs about patience, mental strength and pushing past the point where your body tells you to quit. Now when I hit the road I feel unstoppable like I can go forever and itβs one of the few times I feel truly free.
