I usually start with simple foods that I already have at home
A balanced plan can include vegetables fruits whole grains protein sources healthy fats and enough water
There is no need to buy expensive diet foods to eat well.

One easy approach is to include a protein source in every main meal
Eggs chicken fish beans lentils tofu yogurt and cottage cheese can all work
Protein can help keep you full and support muscle maintenance.

I try to make vegetables a regular part of lunch and dinner
Different vegetables provide different nutrients so mixing colors and varieties is useful
Fresh frozen and properly prepared canned vegetables can all fit into a healthy plan.

A balanced diet does not mean removing carbohydrates
Foods such as oats brown rice potatoes whole grain bread and whole grain pasta can provide energy and fiber
The key is choosing suitable portions and combining them with protein and vegetables.

Healthy fats can be included through foods such as nuts seeds avocado olive oil and fatty fish
They can make meals more satisfying and provide important nutrients
I focus on reasonable portions because fats are calorie dense.

A simple breakfast can contain protein fiber and a source of healthy carbohydrates
For example eggs with whole grain toast and fruit can make a practical meal
Another option is Greek yogurt with oats fruit and nuts.

For lunch I would combine a protein source vegetables and a whole grain or other carbohydrate source
A simple example is grilled chicken with rice and mixed vegetables
For a vegetarian meal lentils with rice and vegetables can also work well
