Best Cutting Strategies for Losing Fat Without Losing Muscle?

I started my first cutting cycle 3 weeks ago. I’ve reduced calories and added cardio, but I already feel weaker in the gym. Is that normal during fat loss?

Some strength loss can happen during a cut, especially if calories are too low. Try keeping protein high and don’t cut calories too aggressively

Exactly. A small calorie deficit works better long term. Many beginners rush cutting and lose muscle along with fat.

I personally had the best results adding more walking instead of doing endless cardio sessions. Easier recovery and less burnout.

That’s probably too much for your first cut. Recovery matters during fat loss too. Overdoing cardio can hurt strength and energy levels

People overcomplicate cutting these days. Lift heavy, eat enough protein, sleep properly, and stay consistent. That’s the foundation

No, carbs are still useful for workout performance and recovery. The overall calorie balance matters more than removing one food group completely

Lowering junk food helped me more than cutting carbs. I still eat rice and oats daily during cuts
