Sports background: high school soccer for 2 years / 3 months of stronglifts 5×5 senior year of high school. After that I didn’t start working out until the middle of my junior year in college. For stronglifts, I mainly learned how to perform the main exercises, and that was the main thing that carried over to when I began working out again.

Nutrition: I used MyFitnessPal to determine how many calories I needed to put on 2 pounds of weight a month. I choose 2 pounds because research claims 2 pounds of muscle a month is possible (although on the high side) for beginners. I needed 2800+ calories and 130-150g protein daily for that goal, rest of the macros I didn’t pay much attention to as long as my calories, and protein was hit.

Sample Breakfast: 3 large eggs with shredded cheese, 2 pieces of turkey bacon (380 cal 1g carbs 29g fat 29g protein)
