Its a pretty common practice I think. I bought a off brand gopro type camera. They offered to send me some batteries for it for a good review. It was actually a pretty badass camera and did most of what my buddies gopro did. Used it pig hunting from a helicopter and kept it on motorcycle helmet until car ran me off road and fled the scene. Ironically I didnt have it on lol
